Grade Level Setup (SET446)

Use this page to add, view, and edit grade levels to be used in your district. The page will appear as shown below:

 

 

Add New Grade Level

Click Add New to open the Add New Grade Level screen, as shown below:

 

 

Fill in the fields provided with a Grade Level, Grade Promotion, Description, and Sort Order. You can also set the Grade Level to Inactivate on Promotion and set the Grade Level to Active. If you set the grade to Inactivate on Promotion, the enrollment for all students in this grade level will be dropped upon promotion.

 

When you have entered the desired information, click Save to create the Grade level, or click Cancel to return to the previous screen without saving.

 

Important! Fields marked with * are required; you will not be able to continue until all required fields have been filled.

 

Field Name Description
Grade Level The abbreviated name of the grade level, which will be displayed on report screens.
Promote to Grade The grade level that will be applied to the patron upon promotion.
Description The full name of the grade as it will appear on most screens.
Sort Order The sorting priority for the item. You may only use numeric values when filling this field.
Inactivate on Promotion Indicates whether or not the patron's status will be set to Inactive upon promotion from the selected grade level.
Active Check this box to make the item active, or leave it unchecked to make the item inactive.

View and Edit Grade Level

From the Search Form, you can search for an existing Grade Level. Use the fields provided to narrow your search, and then click Search to generate a list of results, as shown below:

 

 

You can sort the results by Grade Level, Description, Promote to Grade, Inactivate on Promotion, or Sort Order. Click the icon to access the Edit Grade Level screen.

Edit Grade Level

Use this screen to edit the details for the selected Grade Level. The screen will appear as shown below:

 

 

This section functions exactly like the Add New Grade Level screen; change the Grade Level, Promote to Grade, Description, Sort Order, Active status, and Inactivate on Promotion status.

 

When you have made the desired changes, click Save to keep the changes, or Cancel to return to the previous screen without saving.

Open the Edit window for the selected item.
